If we've not met yet - hello! I'm Lisa.
I'm the one quietly ranting about "jiggling reins" (if you know, you know - and if not - you'll soon find out why that's a pet hate of mine) while sipping tea with oat milk (Glebe Farm one with the tractor on the carton, obviously).
I run a busy equestrian centre and riding school in Cornwall, coach riders of all kinds, and spend an alarming amount of time fielding questions like, "Is this normal?" (Hint: it often is... but sometimes it's not. And that's exactly why I'm here.)
I'm also married to an equine vet, so you could say horses are very much a family affair!
The short version? I'm here to help horse owners feel calm, capable, and confident without wading through drama, jargon, or being made to feel daft for asking questions.
Because owning a horse should feel joyful, not like you're starring in an episode of Survivor: Equine Edition.
Horse welfare and rider are inseparable. Your horse mirrors you, not the other way around.
Confidence isn't built by pushing through fear. It's built understanding why things feel hard and what to do about it.
Everyone deserves clear, honest answers not cryptic jargon or secrets.
Yard culture can be intimidating, but it shouldn't stop you asking questions.
You don't have to figure this all out alone.
They've been taught outdated advice.
They've relied on yard "experts" who mean well but often lack context.
They've never been shown how horse care, riding, and mindset actually connect.
Real-world experience from running a busy yard,
Insights from coaching riders just like you,
And contributions from other trusted experts because advice evolves, and good horsemanship should too.
